MAXIMISING PEOPLE
MAXIMISING LEADERS
MAXIMISING ORGANISATIONS
“The strategic leadership course, run by Aiden Holliday, has helped me in many ways in carrying out my various roles. As a chairman and board member in several large primary health care organizations, it has provided me with several new paradigms at viewing the external environment. It has equipped me with the language and the concepts with which to engage with and debate issues with managers and others from within and outside our organizations. It has also helped me address significant management issues from within my own business. In addition it has made me address personal core issues that impact on my personal life and on those nearest and dearest to me. The content is very relevant to a high number of emerging leaders throughout the business and professional sectors. It has “stretched” me at times!.” Chain Of Pinnacle 2003-4
Never has the need for leadership training for health professionals been more crucial. As the face of primary care in New Zealand inevitably changes we need leaders to rise up from our ranks. I shudder to think of the consequences of leaving the leadership of the new primary health organisations to the Bureaucrats. The Diploma in strategic leadership has been the most empowering educational studies I have undertaken. I have been able to apply aspects of the course to my role as chair of Pinnacle, in my practice and in my family. I have been given a framework to analyse the external environment and my own organisations. I highly recommend the diploma to anyone who has any desire to take a leadership role in health. I am a participant on this course. We are now halfway through and I am thoroughly enjoying it. We attend class one Friday afternoon a month and continue with self-directed learning through the month and usually have an assignment to complete in time for the next class. By now, you will be thinking you can’t really fit anymore into your days, but let me tell you this is worth it! Aiden Holliday is a fabulous facilitator and communicator and there is always plenty of support available for the odd day you need it! Class participation is an integral part of the course and meeting new people is always great. I encourage you to take up this opportunity – your lives will be enhanced both personally and professionally. Megan
